Garin Tzabar
Garin Tzabar is a unique programme that provides comprehensive services to young Jewish adults (ages 18-24) who make Aliyah and serve in the Israel
Defence Forces (IDF) as Lone Soldiers.
Upon their arrival in Israel, Garin Tzabar participants are adopted by an Israel community (Kibbutz/city) that becomes their home away from home,
throughout the duration of their army service.
גרעין צבר
גרעין צבר נוסדה על ידי תנועת הצופים ב 1991 כתוכנית ייחודית המספקת שירותים מקיפים לצעירים יהודים בגילאי 24-18, שעולים לארץ וישרתו בצה"ל כחיילים בודדים.
עם הגעתם לישראל, משתתפי גרעין צבר מאומצים על ידי קהילה ישראלית (קיבוץ/ עיר), שבמהרה הופכת עבורם לבית ומסגרת תומכת, לאורך כל תקופת שירותם הצבאי.

Tzofim Shnat Sherut (Gap Year)
Tzofim Shnat Sherut is a year-long volunteer program where participants live in communes of five to eight Tzofim from Israel and abroad, and work in a development town or boarding school. Together with Israeli Tzofim alumni, the participants enjoy an amazing experience where they live in Israel, volunteer in the Israeli society, expand their leadership qualities, and strengthen their connection to Israel.
Shnat Sherut volunteers integrate into formal and informal educational placements and their activities include:
- Working in a local community center
- Working in a local Tzofim chapter
- After school activities
- Building a close connection with the local youth
- Integrating with the local staff and volunteering as a social counselor
- Working in a school as an Assistant Teacher or Student Aide
Israeli Scouts Western Europe who are interested in a year of service will need to participate in a screening and preparation process that will provide information and help them better understand the programme.
Applying for the programme beginning in September is until November of the previous year
(for example, for a gap year in 2021-22 you must apply by the end of November 2020)

Every year, the Tzofim Movement in Israel sends about 450 high school alumni to participate in one year of community service. There are numerous tracks that accommodate participants' needs, and each track has its own set of goals and visions. All tracks deal with educational missions relevant to the community the participants serve.
Tzofim Tzabar Olami accompanies the graduates in their process in Israel and holds joint meetings for them together with the movement graduates doing Shnat Sherut or Mechinot.
צופים - שנת שירות
מדי שנה שולחת תנועת צופים בישראל כ -450 בוגרי תיכון לקחת חלק בשירות קהילתי למשך שנה. התוכנית מציעה מספר רב של מסלולים המתאימים לצרכי המשתתפים. לכל מסלול יש יעדים וחזון משלו. כל המסלולים עוסקים במשימות חינוכיות הרלוונטיות לקהילה אותה משרתים המשתתפים.
צופים - שנת שירות היא תכנית התנדבות בת שנה בה משתתפים גרים בקומונות של חמש עד שמונה אנשים מהארץ ומחוצה לה, ועובדים בקהילה בפריפריה החברתית והגיאוגרפית או בפנימיה. המשתתפים נהנים יחד עם בוגרי צופים ישראלים מחוויה מדהימה בה הם גרים בישראל, מתנדבים בחברה הישראלית, מרחיבים את מיומנויות המנהיגות שלהם ומחזקים את הקשר שלהם לישראל.
צופי צבר עולמי מלווים את התהליך השנתי של בוגרינו בישראל ומקיימים מפגשים משותפים לבוגרי הנהגת צבר יחד עם מתנדבי שנת השירות בישראל ובוגרי ההנהגה במכינות השונות.
מתנדבי שנת שירות משתלבים במסגרות החינוך הפורמלי והבלתי פורמלי ופעילותם כוללת בין היתר:
- עבודה במרכז קהילתי מקומי
- עבודה בשבט צופים מקומי
- פעילויות חוץ בית ספריות אחר הצהריים
- בניית קשר הדוק עם בני הנוער המקומיים
- השתלבות בצוות המקומי והתנדבות בהדרכה חברתית
- עבודה בבית ספר כעוזרי הוראה או כתומכי תלמידים
צופים במערב אירופה המעוניינים בשנת שירות יצטרכו להשתתף בתהליך מיון והכנה שיספק מידע ויעזור להבין טוב יותר ולעומק את התוכנית.
הגשת מועמדות לתוכנית המתחילה בספטמבר היא עד נובמבר בשנה קודמת (למשל לשנת שרות ב 2021-22 יש להגיש מועמדות עד סוף נובמבר 2020)

Tzofim Yachad Masa- Mechinot
Yachad is a programme to integrate young Jews from around the world in a Gap year in pre-army service leadership programmes in Israel called Mechinot. The programme is for high school graduates who wish to integrate into pre-military preparation programmes in Israel, including graduates of the leadership chapters throughout the world. Tzofim Tzabar Olami accompanies the graduates in their process in Israel and holds joint meetings for them together with the Shnat Sherut graduates from the movement.
Yachad gap year, gives you the opportunity to have the ultimate immersion experience in Israel, by living, studying and volunteering in Israeli mechina programmes with Israelis your age. The word Yachad means “together,” and as a participant, your Israel experience will be more up-close and personal than any other – because you’ll be doing it together with your Israeli peers.
The word ‘Mechina’ means “preparation.” When young Israelis want to take a gap year after high school, to learn more about their culture, society, and their Jewish identity, they can participate in one of 40 mechina programmes. And just as Israelis use their mechina experience to launch them into elite units and leadership positions in the IDF, you can use your mechina experience to enhance your resume and improve your standing in university admissions.
Today, there are mechina programmes in all parts of Israel, representing all different parts of Israeli society. There are mechinot in the bustle and excitement of Tel Aviv, in the natural beauty of the Golan Heights, or in the serene calm of the Negev desert. There religious Zionist mechinot, mechinot that bring religious and secular Jews together, mechinot that promote volunteering in Arab-Jewish coexistence projects and more.
Yachad represents several of these mechinot, whose goal is to forge strong connections between Jews in the Diaspora with Israel and their Israeli peers, while building a sense of Jewish peoplehood in the next generation of Jewish leaders, both in Israel and around the Jewish world.
All mechinot are approved by the Israeli ministries of Education and Defense, and are held to rigorous standards for programme quality.

תכנית מכינות יחד
'מכינות יחד' הינה תוכנית לשילוב צעירים יהודים מרחבי העולם
ב-'Gap year' במדרשות למנהיגות – המכינות הקדם צבאיות
בישראל. התכנית מיועדת למסיימי תיכון המעוניינים להשתלב
במכינות קדם צבאיות בישראל, ביניהם בוגרי שבטי הנהגת צבר
ברחבי העולם. צופי צבר עולמי מלווים את התהליך השנתי של
בוגרינו בישראל ומקיימים מפגשים משותפים לבוגרי הנהגת
צבר במכינות השונות יחד עם בוגרי ההנהגה מתנדבי
שנת השירות בישראל.
מכינה קדם צבאית היא מסגרת חינוכית לבוגרי תיכון שהחליטו
לדחות בשנה את השירות הצבאי על מנת לקחת חלק בשנה
של מסע אישי, שנה של פסק זמן ממסלול החיים השגרתי לטובת פיתוח והעצמה אישית.
שנת הפעילות במכינה כוללת תוכנית עשירה ומגוונת של לימודים, סדנאות, התנדבות בקהילה, סמינרים וטיולים ברחבי הארץ, המיועדים להעמקת הזהות וההזדהות עם מורשת ישראל היהודית והציונות, להעשרת עולמם, לפיתוח מודעות ומחוייבות חברתית, לגיבוש השקפות ועמדות אישיות על בסיס חשיפה למגוון רחב של תפיסות עולם, לטיפוח מנהיגות צעירה חדורת תחושת אחריות ושליחות כלפי עם ישראל והחברה.
המכינות פרושות בכל חבלי הארץ ובכל מגזרי החברה היהודית-ציונית בישראל: ממעיין ברוך והגולן בצפון, עד מדרשת שדה בוקר וחצבה בדרום. בקיבוצים, בעיירות ובערים, ביישובים ובשכונות, לחוף הים, בשפלה ובבקעה, בהר ובמדבר. יש מהן "דתיות – תורניות" ויש "כלליות", יש מעורבות המשותפות לבנים ולבנות, ל"דתיים ול"חילוניים" ויש נפרדות. כולם שותפים ליעדים המרכזיים ולמסכת פעילות חינוכית – ערכית - יהודית - ציונית משותפת.
תכנית 'מכינות יחד' משלבת בין חניכי המכינות גם צעירים יהודים מרחבי העולם. המפגש שמתקיים בין החניכים הישראלים לחניכים מחו"ל הוא בעל ערך רב ומשמעותי לשני הצדדים ולמכינה בכלל. החניכים מחו"ל מביאים איתם ערך מוסף שתורם במידה רבה לתהליך החינוכי ולחוויה הקבוצתית.
החניכים שמגיעים למכינות מחו"ל מצטרפים לתוכנית ישראלית שמתנהלת רק בעברית. עם זאת, היא מתאימה לכל מי שיש לו רמת עברית כלשהי, גם אם נמוכה.
המכינה מתנהלת בתנאי "פנימייה", כלומר כוללת מגורים, ארוחות, כביסה וכדומה. החניכים יוצאים לבתיהם לסוף שבוע פעם בשבועיים (חניכים מחו"ל הולכים למשפחות מורחבות המתגוררות בארץ, למשפחות מאמצות, לחברים מהמכינה או נשארים עם יתר החברים מחו"ל במכינה עצמה).
