LONDON

Komuna London has existed in the UK since 2011, starting with 4 shinshinim. The project is a joint cooperation between the Jewish Agency for Israel and the Israeli Scouts. Israeli shin-shinim (young emissaries of The Jewish Agency for Israel; also known as Service-Year Shlichim) are enthusiastic high-school graduates coming to the UK to represent Israel for a year and serve the Jewish community. The “Komuna” is a group of young shlichim living together, creating a hub of sharing ideas and encouraging cooperation between organizations and young Jewish Londoners. Due to the success of this project, it is constantly growing, and now have  12-14 shin-shinim in the UK London and Leeds.

The "Komuna" is a new and unique model

for community engagement.
